Before undertaking this I could only play Blackberry Blossom one way—melodic style on banjo. I’m getting to the point where I can play it pretty quick (but still too slow for the more advanced jam circles).
Learning some different parts was a lot of fun. I think it helped me connect the notes on the neck better.

Recording is hard! I can consistently play the guitar and melodic banjo parts from memory without messing up on my own. As soon as I place a microphone in front of my instrument, I start missing notes left and right.
I intended to put a backing track or record me comping to this song, but I don’t have time this week.
