Not an interesting week. I learned the major scale third pattern. This one is pretty new to me.
I play the major scale, the triads, and then solo over a backing track.
The soloing is not the grooviest yet. Posting my stuff to Blink 52 has forced me to do a lot of things I would not have otherwise. For instance, I listen to the recordings before I upload them. I’m not sure I’d be listening to all the tracks of me jamming and soloing. It’s not a pleasant experience for me, but I see now how this will make me better in the long run.
I think I will pause on learning new patterns for a bit. Instead, I will work on improving my musical melodical abilities. What I mean is: I want to play the scale patterns I know better. I wanna shred off the top of my head. I’ll keep practicing!
