Here’s me following part of a tutorial on making rock music with Ableton. Again, maybe I should pick a new DAW to learn (since I’m still learning this one). Whatever.
I am following this tutorial: www.udemy.com/course/rock-music-production-songwriting-with-ableton-live.
I got through learning the guitar part, recording it, making drums, vocal blocking, and adding synths for the verse. I have already learned some tips and tricks to streamline my workflow. Honestly, this recording did not take me half as long as I thought it would.
PSA: the weird noises you hear me singing is called vocal blocking. Musicians mumble or sing random words for the melody as a placeholder for the real lyrics, so you can hear how the song will sound at the end as you are recording.
